Issaquah Salmon Days Festival 2001 Award Winning Web Site

Salmon Days wins FIVE International Awards
The 2001 Issaquah Salmon Days Festival, celebrating "2001: a salmon odyssey,” received five awards at the 47th Annual International Festival and Events Association (IFEA) Pinnacle Awards, held November 6-10 in Louisville, Kentucky. The competition featured 1300 total entries in 45 different categories.

Salmon Days received Gold Awards for Best Commemorative Poster for its 2001 Limited Edition Print, Best Souvenir Pin and Best Web Site, within its budget category. The Commemorative Poster originated with artist Oceania Eagan’s piece, "3-D Salmon in Stream." Graphic designer Robin Dale Spicer created the logo and image for the 2001 Festival, which was featured on the souvenir pin. IntentionallyU Web Developer Kevin Ulland produced and maintained the 2001 Salmon Days’ web site.

The Festival tied with Milwaukee’s Lakemont Festival of Arts for the Silver Award in the Overall Merchandise Program competition. The Salmon Days merchandise program includes Salmon Days clothing, the Festival’s Limited Edition Print, Fishy Friday Program and team shirts such as the Volunteers, Tech Team and Refuse Rangers. All graphics for the Salmon Days retail program were also designed by Robin Dale Spicer.

A second Silver Award was given to Salmon Days for the 2001: a salmon odyssey hat featuring the 2001 logo.
