2013 WFEA Awards
CONGRATULATIONS ISSAQUAH!!
SALMON DAYS FESTIVAL WON 7 SUMMIT AWARDS
(March 19, 2013) — We are excited that the annual Issaquah community event, the Salmon Days Festival, won 7 Summit Awards from the Washington Festivals and Events Association (WFEA). The awards ceremony took place March 19th, 2013 at the Northwest Festivals and Events Convention held in Olympia, WA.
The 2012 Salmon Days campaign was presented by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and Ohfishally Spawnsored by Virginia Mason Medical Center themed “Thrills & Gills.” Recipients were congratulated by Senator Mike
Hewitt, who also made opening remarks and gave an overview of recent legislation relating to festivals and events statewide.
The Issaquah Salmon Days Festival was honored to receive Silver in the top category GRAND SUMMIT AWARD. Salmon Days also returned with three first-place Gold Awards for Best Event Program, Best T-shirt, Best Other Merchandise and three Silver Summit Awards, for Best Commemorative Poster, Best Promotional Brochure and Best Website within its budget category of $150,000 and over.

Salmon Days won 7 Summit Awards at the Washington Festival and Events Association's annual convention in Blaine, WA on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Based on the 2011 Salmon Days Festival campaign, presented by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce and Ohfishally Spawnsored by Virginia Mason Medical Center themed “Wild Things!,” received three first place Gold Summit Awards, two second place Silver Summit Awards and two third place Bronze Summit Awards within its budget category of $150,000 and over.
Salmon Days received GOLD for the prestigious Best Overall Promotional Campaign, Best T-shirt and Best Community Partnership Program, along
with two silver awards for Best Website and Best Souvenir Pin. The two Bronze awards were for Best Promotional Poster and Best Other Merchandise for the featured artist tiles and coasters.
